As last-minute preparations are finally wrapping up, the folks at the state Division of Culture and History are finding themselves eager to stop organizing and start enjoying the fruits of their labor at the 32nd annual Vandalia Gathering. Daughter of Gospel Star Dies in Crash
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee authorities say the 5-year-old daughter of contemporary Christian music star Steven Curtis Chapman was struck and killed by a sport-utility vehicle driven by her brother. Tennessee Highway Patrol spokeswoman Laura McPherson says the girl, Maria, was hit in a driveway at the family residence Wednesday afternoon south of Nashville. McPherson says the Toyota Land Cruiser was driven by the girl's teenage brother.
'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Producers Sued in New York
NEW YORK - An actor who says he created the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" reality TV program has sued the show's producers for at least $5 million that he claims they owe him in royalties, salary and other compensation. Boris Krutonog of Los Angeles says the A&E Television Networks and others failed to pay him for the fourth season of the show as its creator and co-executive producer. Filming for the fifth season recently began.
Yoko Ono Tries to Block Use of 'Imagine' in Film
NEW YORK - Yoko Ono wants a judge to imagine a movie challenging the theory of evolution - but without John Lennon's song "Imagine" in it. The film's distributors are fighting to keep it in - and are urging the judge to act quickly so the movie can yet play a role in the presidential campaign this fall.

Grand jury indicts accused bank robbers A brother and sister accused of a string of bank heists were among the 10 people indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday, the U.S. Attorneys Office announced. Jeremy M. Brown, 24, and Melissa A. Brown, 28, both of Louisa, Ky., are charged with robbing $2,304 from a Charleston branch of City National Bank on April 15 and $4,257 from a First Sentry Bank branch near Barboursville on April 21.
