MORGANTOWN - Federal mine safety experts briefed thousands of West Virginia and Ohio coal miners on topics including the proper use of air packs as part of a voluntary national time-out for the industry.
Robert Friend, acting deputy assistant secretary of the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration, said he was unaware of any coal companies that had refused his agency's request for a one-hour discussion on safety.See the full content of this document
