State delegates got early Christmas gifts this year in the form of new iPads that may eventually replace the decade-old laptops they currently use.

Delegates received the new mobile tablet devices during training sessions at the state Capitol Tuesday. Leaders of the House timed the rollout to give delegates time to get used to the iPads ahead of next year's legislative session.
