A couple of years ago, the state Supreme Court ruled that the Division of Motor Vehicles may automatically revoke the licenses of those who enter no-contest pleas to drunken driving charges, just as it does the licenses of those who enter guilty pleas.
A few members of the Kanawha delegation fought this session for a bill to stop that. The measure would have entitled people who plead no contest to the charge to an administrative hearing before revocation.See the full content of this document
