KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Firefighters worked today to douse the last of the flames at a chemical distribution business where several explosions shot fireballs into the air and sent black smoke drifting over the downtown skyline.

Two workers at Chemcentral Corp. suffered minor injuries after several 55-gallon drums of chemicals exploded behind the warehouse Wednesday afternoon, touching off more explosions and fires on the site in a mixed industrial and residential neighborhood northeast of downtown.
