West Virginia exported $3 billion worth of products and commodities in the first half of 2010, up 39.5 percent from the same period a year ago, the state Commerce Department said.

If the torrid pace continues the state's exports will total $6 billion this year, breaking the $5.6 billion record set in 2008.
