BELLEVUE, Wash. - A cop famous for his decades-long hunt for the Green River killer was clinging to a narrow lead over a witty radio talk show host in the race for a coveted seat in Congress.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting but thousands of absentee ballots to be tallied, Republican King County Sheriff Dave Reichert had 52 percent to 47 percent for Democratic challenger Dave Ross. Libertarian Spencer Garrett had 2 percent.
