VIENNA, Austria - Austria's governing coalition is in turmoil after losing seats in parliament and watching two far-right parties make big gains in national elections.

The conservative Austrian People's Party and the Social Democrats had their worst showing since World War II. Two rightist parties - the Freedom Party and the Alliance for the Future of Austria - capitalized on voter discontent and got a combined 29 percent.
