Firms Vie to Provide Broadband Consulting Services

Summary


Eight companies submitted bids to provide an independent analysis of the state's current broadband infrastructure and to provide advice to state Commerce Secretary Keith Burdette and the governor's office.

Diane Holley-Brown, spokeswoman for the state Department of Administration, said bids were submitted by Strategic Networks Group, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, with U.S. headquarters in Akron, Ohio; Columbia Telecommunications Corp. of Kensington, Md.; Rudolph J. Geist of Bethesda, Md.; Reid Consulting Group Limited Liability Co. of Athens, Ohio; The Schultz Group of Washington, D.C.; ICF International of Fairfax, Va.; Berry, Dunn, McNeil and Parker Limited Liability Co. of Portland, Maine; and Wiley Rein Limited Liability Partnership of Washington, D.C.
