Huntington Mayor Won't Campaign for Levy to Pave and Repair Streets

HUNTINGTON - Mayor David Felinton says he won't campaign for the city's street levy because he fears the issue could kill a separate levy to improve area parks.

City voters are being asked to approve a three-year levy on Nov. 7 that would collect $1.1 million a year for paving and other repairs. Some residents have voiced opposition to the levy saying they already pay the city $2 a week for police protection and street maintenance.
