Next year's proposed budget for Kanawha County Schools increased slightly to about $230 million. School board members on Tuesday afternoon went over their budget for the 2008-09 fiscal year, which begins July 1. Treasurer Harry Reustle shared a preliminary budget with board members that figures in about $223 million.
