Lottery terminals in West Virginia's northern and eastern panhandles were knocked off-line for several hours as Verizon installed a computer software upgrade.

The problem began about 3 p.m. and was resolved shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday, said Verizon spokesman Lee Gierczynski.
