The state auditor's office has found that former officials in Clendenin failed to prepare financial statements, transacted municipal business without a quorum, failed to maintain accounting records and failed to keep other records, including invoices and bank statements.
Those are among a list of about 20 key problems revealed in an audit of the town's finances for the three years running from July 1999 through June 2002.See the full content of this document
