Amid the talk of allowing casino table games at racetracks, lawmakers were urged to scrutinize their less flashy but long-legal cousins: bingo and raffle games.

"There's great potential for abuse of a charitable gaming license," David Stiles, acting director of the state Department of Tax and Revenue's criminal investigation division, told a joint committee studying nonprofit groups on Tuesday.
