IN 1967, I was 12 years old and crazy about pro football. My favorite team was the Green Bay Packers. (Like most kids, my affections migrated to winning teams).

So I was thrilled, but also nervous, about the Packers playing in the first Super Bowl, which, by the way, was not yet called the Super Bowl.
