HUNTINGTON - Marshall Coach Mark Snyder was equally encouraged and discouraged Saturday morning, when his defense shined and his offense struggled.

The defense forced six takeaways, including an interception on a two-point conversion, and recorded five sacks in its 69-52 scrimmage victory in front of about 100 fans at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
