Bowden said Sunday that he wants to coach another year, which would be his 35th in Tallahassee, but hes not sure whether hell be given the chance. Ive got bosses, Bowden said. Ive got people who would have to approve it. Bowden has 388 career wins, second only to Penn States Joe Paterno among major college coaches, and has continued to coach with the hope of getting Florida State back among the nations elite programs.
Nets fire Lawrence Frank after 0-16 start EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. The New Jersey Nets fired coach Lawrence Frank on Sunday after losing their first 16 games during one of the worst starts in NBA history. Assistant Tom Barrise will coach the team Sunday night in Los Angeles against the Lakers, when the Nets could tie the record for the worst start if they lose.
