Mrs. Ball was born on Oct. 30, 1917, near Pennsboro to the late Claude and Ada Richards Scadden and was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She had attended Pennsboro High School and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 26, of Pennsboro. She was a member of the former First United Methodist Church of Pennsboro, now known as the Pennsboro United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Edwin Burns of Parkersburg, and Brenda and William Talbott of Webster Springs, W.Va.; sister, Mary Louise Fairbanks, Williamstown, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kimberly Burns Blevins, Kathy Burns Carroll, Kevin Burns, Cynthia Talbott Hamrick, Bryan Talbott and John Talbott; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a loving, caring niece, Sue Mulligan of Parkersburg.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by her husband, H. Garrell Ball, who passed from this life on Jan. 13, 2004; and two sisters, Marie Davis and Iva Jones.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004, from the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with the Rev. Brian Harrell officiating.
