Evening snow showers caused more than a few roadblocks for motorists in the Kanawha Valley, where several weather-related crashes occurred after snowflakes began to fall.

Twelve vehicle crashes were reported from about 6 p.m. Wednesday, when the snow started to accumulate, until 8:30 p.m., when the flakes started to taper off for a short period.
