A position-by-position analysis of Saturdays Norfolk State-West Virginia game by Charleston Gazette Sports Editor Mitch Vingle. QUARTERBACKS Norfolk State quarterback Chris Walley, a 6-foot-2, 200- pound redshirt senior, had a better outing in his first game than West Virginias Geno Smith. Walley hit 25-of-29 passes for 255 yards and two scores, while Smith hit 26-of-35 for 249 and two. But Smith did it against a C-USA team in three quarters. RUNNING BACKS As with the quarterback position, Norfolk States leading tailback fared better than his WVU counterpart in this game. Junior Takeem Hedgeman, a 5-10, 195 pounds, had a team-high 65 yards against Virginia State. WVUs Andrew Buie led the Mountaineer rushing attack with a mere 30 yards on 15 carries.
