Most of the time, students are the ones listening to rules and regulations on the first day of school. But around the state, schools have posted a gentle reminder to bus drivers encouraging them to be kind to the environment and their school board's pocketbook.

About 2,500 "Idle Free Zone" signs are posted in all but one of West Virginia's 55 counties to remind drivers to turn off the engine.
