Vince Sodaro was among the first Charleston residents to own a television - even though there wasn't much to watch in 1950.

"There was only one station on the air then, in Huntington," said Sodaro, who shortly afterward went on to open his own radio and television repair shop in Charleston. "And nothing came on before noon or so."
