Marking the first Saturday of April as the start West Virginia's trout fishing season would give everyone a chance to land a state- stocked trout and discourage those who now follow Division of Natural Resources' stocking trucks, says a senator who advocates the change.
"It could sort of be a family get-together that everybody could fish that one day," Sen. Shirley Love, D-Fayette, told the Beckley Register-Herald.
