Second-ranked Logan's win over No. 1 George Washington by a narrow margin at the Charleston Civic Center was not an upset. The surprise came Saturday, when the Patriots (19-3) wrapped up the regular season with an 85-76 loss at previously struggling Parkersburg South (15-7).

After going unbeaten against in-state competition in its first 18 attempts, the Patriots enter sectional tournament play this week looking rather human. GW won at sub-.500 Greenbrier East 49-46 last Monday in its last outing before facing Logan (19-3).
