MORGANTOWN - West Virginia's football scrimmage Wednesday was adjudicated by a set of officials who themselves were overseen by the Big East's coordinator of officiating, Terry McCaulay.

That's not all too unusual, except for the fact McCaulay, an NFL referee who has worked two Super Bowls, including the one in February, made two holding calls.
