TRENTON, N.J. - The Statehouse and several nearby state offices and buildings were closed today because of flooding along the Delaware River that forced thousands of people from their homes.
The floods, caused by heavy rains that soaked the state for most of the weekend, were expected to worsen in many central and northern areas, as swollen rivers and waterways continued to rise. Dozens of car were covered by water in many areas and some homes were damaged, but no injuries or major problems were reported early Monday.See the full content of this document
