IN 1980, according to the government, 5 percent of American teenagers were overweight. By 2004, the percentage of U.S. teens who were overweight had risen to 17 percent.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest and the Public Health Advocacy Institute were threatening to sue Big Soda. They argued that sugary sodas should have to carry health warnings, as has been done with tobacco products.See the full content of this document
