Taylor Books Marks 10 Years: ; Capitol Street Landmark Celebrates a Decade of Downtown Business

Taylor Books, a pioneer in the rebirth of Capitol Street, is 10 years old this month. The independent bookstore and coffeehouse will have a customer appreciation day Saturday featuring a store-wide 15 percent discount, free drip coffee all day and half-price scones while they last. There also will be deep discounts on holiday cards and 2006 calendars. Live music starts at 7:30 p.m. in the cafe.

Taylor Books, owner Ann Saville and the shop's customers have much to celebrate.
