Watching TV one evening, I heard Donald Trump say he had never touched alcohol because of his late alcoholic brother's request and because he had seen what it did to his brother.

As a child sitting in Charleston's West Theatre, I watched movie stars sip wine from stemmed crystal. Fast forwarding to adulthood, I stood in a large room and watched party attendees sip wine from plastic cups. It was there I overheard a woman say she couldn't understand people who wouldn't drink and added that was one problem she didn't have. I sipped my ginger ale and wondered why she thought I had a problem. Like Donald Trump, I do not imbibe because of a family member.
