Summary
Fifty-eight people died in workplace injuries in West Virginia in 2004, up from 51 the year before, the U.S. Department of Labor said.
The top cause of workplace deaths in the state and nation was highway fatalities, which killed 16 people in West Virginia, or 28 percent of the total.
